John and Catherine Steeb Residence, (1900-1914)

1.  Catherine died in 1913 and John died in 1914.


Clara E. and Rose K. Steeb Residence, (1914-1944)

1.  Clara and Rose Steeb acquired the property from the estate of John Steeb in 1914.


Emil G. Steeb and Carl E. Rental Property, (1944-1952)

1.  Brothers Emil and Carl Steeb acquired the property from the estate of Clara Steeb who died in 1944.

2..  The remains of an illustrious Medina son, Carl E. Steeb, were interred in Spring Grove Cemetery in 1958.

Mr. Steeb was a native of Medina, graduating from Medina high school in 1892. Seven years later he graduated from Ohio State University, where he was employed successively as accountant, purchasing agent and business manager; also secretary of the board of trustees. He became business manager in 1906, serving in that position until 1945. He continued as secretary of the board of trustees, a position he had held since 1904.

Mr. Steeb was also secretary of the board of control for the Agricultural Experiment station, a post he held since 1921. He also had held high offices in Rotary International and was a Major in the Quarter Master Corps in World War I.

Despite his many years of residence in Columbus, Mr. Steeb always considered Medina his home. He had contributed generously to Medina Community Hospital on more than one occasion and to the Medina Memorial swimming pool. He also owned several Medina residential properties.

3.  Emil and Carl Steeb sold the property to son Edward Steeb in 1952.

Carl E. Steeb Rental Property (1934-1959)

The remains of an illustrious Medina son, Carl E. Steeb, were interred in Spring Grove Cemetery in 1958.

Mr. Steeb was a native of Medina, graduating from Medina high school in 1892. Seven years later he graduated from Ohio State University, where he was employed successively as accountant, purchasing agent and business manager; also secretary of the board of trustees. He became business manager in 1906, serving in that position until 1945. He continued as secretary of the board of trustees, a position he had held since 1904.

Mr. Steeb was also secretary of the board of control for the Agricultural Experiment station, a post he held since 1921. He also had held high offices in Rotary International and was a Major in the Quarter Master Corps in World War I.

Despite his many years of residence in Columbus, Mr. Steeb always considered Medina his home. He had contributed generously to Medina Community Hospital on more than one occasion and to the Medina Memorial swimming pool. He also owned several Medina residential properties.
